Not only does cat toilet training take a long time, it is also a difficult process. You have to dedicate much of your time to the whole exercise. But if you’re willing to do it, there are several ways you can try to make your pet learn to use the toilet. One method is to purchase a kit for toilet training. These kitty toilet training kits come with the necessary equipment and instructions. However, it is best to use these kits for kittens since they may not be able to withstand the weight and size of adult cats.  The last thing you want is your poor old cat falling into the toilet bowl!

Another method that one can use is to associate the litter box with the toilet. You can do this by placing your pet’s litter box next to the toilet. After some time, raise the litter box so that it is the same level as the toilet. After your pet gets used to doing his business at this height, place the litter box on top of the toilet and then remove it in time. He will begin to realize that he can do at the toilet what he can do at a litter box.

There are other methods for toilet training your cat. However, all of them are difficult work. If you are set on making your cat learn to use the toilet, be prepared to invest a lot of your time and effort.  Remember, cat toilet training is not easy!
