There are a ton of different cat litters available. It’s quite difficult for a new pet owner to decide which one is right for their pet. If you’re in this boat, try not to worry too much. Finding the right cat litter is often a matter of trial and error. That said, there is a lot of good information online. I encourage you to read a few reviews and give some different products a go. It won’t be too long before you find one that works for both you and your cat.

Now, one of the most famous brands you’ll come across is World’s Best Cat Litter. It’s available at Amazon and makes several claims. If you believe the hype, this stuff is odorless, clumps quick and easy to scoop. It’s also long lasting and good for the environment. In this article, I’ll shed some light on these claims. In order to keep this review simple, I’ve broken up the following text into two different sections – Pros and Cons.

The Benefits Of World’s Best Cat Litter

Overall, I think this is a great product. It’s made of corn and is very easy on the environment. This, naturally, means that it’s also good for your pet and the air in your home. Typical clay based cat litters generally can’t make these claims. When a cat finishes with their business, they’ll often kick their legs. Clay based litters often create mini dust storms. Some of these particles end up in the air – for your whole family to breath. For more information, read this article about how to choose the best dust free cat litter.

I also like this litter because the chunks are nice and big. It works very well with a self scooping or automatic cat litter box. I have the Littermaid self cleaning box, and World’s Best works wonderfully with it.

The Downfalls Of World’s Best Cat Litter

This litter isn’t quite perfect though. It claims to be odor free but I don’t really buy this. Some users, including myself, often smell wifts of vinegar coming from the cats living quarters. Keep in mind that every cat is different though. This could be something related to diet and not the litter at all.

Another buzz word around the cat industry these days is “track free”. This essentially means that a litter won’t easily find it’s way out of the litter box and on to your nice hardwood floor. The World’s Best litter tends to stick to my cat’s feet. I’ve found little kernels of corn 3 or 4 rooms away from the litter box! This is simply due to the fact that the corn doesn’t clump as well as clay litters.

In Conclusion…

This is a great litter for most. As I mentioned off the top, it may not be for everyone. If your cat doesn’t track a lot of litter out of his box and his urine isn’t particularly stinky, give this a go. You won’t regret it!

It is one thing to train your cat to use a kitty litter box. Training your cat to use a toilet on the other hand, is something completely different. Using the litter box comes fairly naturally for most cats. Others may need to be trained but it’s still a fairly easy process. Most cats will immediately catch on to the functions of the kitty litter. If you’re planning on making your cat graduate from the litter to the toilet, however, you’re in for some seriously hard work. This takes a lot of time. Training a kitten to use the toilet can take up to a year.

Not only does cat toilet training take a long time, it is also a difficult process. You have to dedicate much of your time to the whole exercise. But if you’re willing to do it, there are several ways you can try to make your pet learn to use the toilet. One method is to purchase a kit for toilet training. These kitty toilet training kits come with the necessary equipment and instructions. However, it is best to use these kits for kittens since they may not be able to withstand the weight and size of adult cats. The last thing you want is your poor old cat falling into the toilet bowl!

Another method that one can use is to associate the litter box with the toilet. You can do this by placing your pet’s litter box next to the toilet. After some time, raise the litter box so that it is the same level as the toilet. After your pet gets used to doing his business at this height, place the litter box on top of the toilet and then remove it in time. He will begin to realize that he can do at the toilet what he can do at a litter box.

There are other methods for toilet training your cat. However, all of them are difficult work. If you are set on making your cat learn to use the toilet, be prepared to invest a lot of your time and effort. Remember, cat toilet training is not easy!

Is it worth it?

Absolutely! You’ll never have to empty a litter box again and there’s a good chance that your cat will be a Youtube superstar!

If your new kitten won’t use a litter box, read on!

Cats are naturally clean animals. When they see or smell something that they don’t like, cats will instinctively try to mask the scent by scooping dirt on top of it. They will do this even if they are standing on wooden or concrete floor inside your house. Ouch!!

This is why training a kitten to use a litter box is pretty straightforward.

If you have an older cat in your house that already knows how to use the litter box, training your new kitten becomes even easier. This is because kittens will naturally mimic an older cat’s behavior. However, if you have no older cat to teach your young kitten – do not despair. There are numerous easy things you can do to litter box train your kitten.

First, you have to familiarize your kitten with the litter box and its purpose. You can do this by immediately taking him to the litter box after he eats. You may need to do this quite a few times for several days but he will eventually figure out what the litter box is for. If you have a hard time getting your pet to approach or stay in the litter box, you have to find ways to lure him. You can do this by placing catnip around the litter box. If he likes the smell of catnip, he will feel that it is okay for him do this business in the litter box. Another thing that you can do is play mama cat… Give this a go. Put your kitten inside the litter box and scratch his paws in the litter for him. This is an effective method and quite a bit of fun too! It won’t be long before your kitten is doing his business in the litter box.

Whatever method you choose to use, make sure that the litter box stays clean. If you leave it soiled, your kitten will not like the idea of using it. Remember: Cat’s are naturally clean animals and want no part of a stinky litter box!

Good Luck!
